Emergency Assistance

IMPORTANT: Don’t put your safety at risk. If you need immediate medical attention, always call 911 first (or the local emergency number where you are travelling). After that, you MUST contact the assistance number located on your policy documents. Failure to contact emergency assistance could result in your claim being reimbursed at only 80%.

Your insurance plan includes 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week worldwide emergency assistance. If you need to see a doctor or go to a hospital, you should contact the emergency assistance number immediately. By calling this number, you’ll talk to a representative who can ensure that you get the right treatment, right away, and can help you with handling claims.

Your policy will come with a wallet card that includes your policy number and the emergency phone number to call. This information will also appear on any email confirmation or in any mailed package that you may receive.

When do I call?
Call as soon as you can. It is better to call before you get medical treatment. If this is not medically possible, you must call as soon as you are able to do so. Do not assume that someone else will call on your behalf. Your policy may limit benefits if you do not call within 24 hours of your medical problem.
